As one of our longer established producers, Hepworth and Company, is an exciting brand producing high quality beers from locally sourced Sussex ingredients, such as organic barley from the Goodwood Estate and award-winning hops from Bodiam in East Sussex.
Since its establishment in 2000 under the management of Andy Hepworth and with support from friends and family, it has grown steadily and 2017 saw the opening of a new purpose built brewery in the beautiful Sussex Countryside.
The brewery prides itself on its green credentials – solar panels creating energy, and heat exchangers ensuring water efficiency. Its even become the first brewery in the world to have a Beer sourced heat pump! Their spent hops are also returned to local farmers to use for animal feed. All of these methods ensure they can increase productivity and sustainability, without a negative impact on the environment.
They are proud to brew subtle and complex ales and largers, cold filtered to preserve the purity of flavour, including a ‘Naturally Gluten Free’ range.
Hepworths have been working closely with Redh to brew our house lager, Stamper. Hepworths are proud to have developed a 4.5% abv premium lager using a blend of four hop varieties, which deliver a full, satisfying flavour that is naturally gluten free. Stamper can be tasted exclusively at our bar in Haslemere.
